Group Round C/R Comment Date Image
58 Nov 18 Comment Just popped in from Group 80, looks to be a great festival with lots of colour.
Love the way that you have captured the lady in the lavender coat smiling at you adding to the composition.
A wonderful image Issac.....colin

80 Nov 18 Reply I do prefer this image showing more movement with the subject more to the right side of the image, showing calm amongst the chaos. Well seen and well captured Richard....colin Nov 28th
80 Nov 18 Comment I like that you captured the subject looking away from the camera, it makes it a lot more natural.
He is a wonderful character with lots of interest.
Although out of focus and sharpness, well worth a 'keep' for fond memories.

80 Nov 18 Comment Hi Richard, with a 17mm lens I would expect to see a wider capture of the scene, I wonder how much of the original image was cropped? Seeing more of the moving leg in the foreground would I think improve the image.
Love the gaze of the dog amongst the various legs and their movement.

80 Nov 18 Comment Hi Richard, this image was captured around mid-day within an Arcade of various shops.
So glad that you like this image, when you capture an image directly into a window it is always difficult to hide your own reflection but sometimes it adds to the image.

Many thanks for your message and glad that you like it....colin

80 Nov 18 Reply Window reflections allow you more time to capture the image, where street images in general are captured within a fraction of a second or the 'decisive moment' is missed.
I always try to capture an image that tell's a story.
Thank you so much for your kind comment Bill....colin

80 Nov 18 Reply I also produced a mono version of this image and I totally agree that although the sign's blue colour strength is eliminated it looks better in colour.
I have also produced an A3 print which is doing well in International Salons.
Many thanks for your kind words Hattie....colin

80 Nov 18 Reply Hi Issac, many thanks for your message, the blue sign is a part of the advertising of the barbershop which can be seen hang ing from the ceiling by hooks. I agree it does take your eye away from the main subjects but 'it was there'.
As other photographers in this group can confirm, I am reluctant to remove any elements from my 'street' images, what I see, is what you see.
Thank's again for your comment....colin

80 Nov 18 Comment Well seen and well captured Hattie. I think you have captured the lighting well with not too much exposure to match the theme. Love the balance of the image. The similar colour of the sofa with the colour of the doll, to me, is a bonus.

80 Nov 18 Comment With a similar image to this, my November input is also a reflection looking into a shop window Bill. Our settings are very similar except with an aperture of f9 it meant that my ISO was much higher.
Love the similar gestures of the man and shopkeeper with great composition of the three people within the image. Not only can you see the interior of the shop but also the exterior street activity.
The reflection of the vehicle adds to the 'street' scene. Well captured.
