Thanks for the comment on the highlight on the pole. I saw it, but didn't realize it was so "loud". I think I will try this in Black and White! |

Hi,
Nice capture with a good composition bringing the ferry in from the top right corner! The blue throughout the water and sky makes you feel the cool breeze. I think the jut of land is helpful in the frame. |

HI Steve
This capture is attractive as the diagonal lines formed by the cars and the water trails gives you tension and a sense of movement. Even the clouds in the sky have a directional line! I agree with the blue cast and the fix Paul has done is great. The topic is doubly covered with both the autos and the ferry!

Hi,
The subject matter is clear. At first I thought it was coming toward me (and was going to say: need more space on the right), but saw the green traffic light and then understood the direction. I agree the partial auto does detract some, but you'd need to clone out as I think the green light is necessary for direction. Possibly darken the lower right corner some. I love to hear the history. Thanks,

The prominent placement of the Tram in the frame fulfills the category. The color red brings your eye directly to the subject. The composition is great with the tracks leading you in, and the height is emphasized by the people around it. It does show how busy the city is with crowds needing transport! |

Hi Tim,
What catches the eye is definitely the curving railway. I like the idea, as it gives you a sense that the train is about to come into the frame from the bottom. I thought it needed to have the tracks emphasized so I played with it both in color and black and white. The color attached as I struggled with the B&W. Bumped up the Vibrance, cropped some off the left side, added a grad filter at top, brushed the tracks to have the blacks pop, whites upped and clarity added. |
