Hi Wendy,
When I first saw this as a small tile from the group's photos, I thought it was nice. But when I opened it up, I was very excited about it. Loved the look. I rushed to see how you got it and who knows if it can ever be re-created! I'd hang this on my wall. Colors are great, the tree trunk is special with the motion in it as well as the rest of the landscape. I'm always the driver, but this makes me want to be taken for a ride so I can try this!

Hi Steven,
Your creative mind appears again! Great idea for motion. I liked the diagonal line from the crease of the magazine that is also the non-moving portion of the image. Also, I like how the non-motion portion shows the face and hearts! The lower right hand portion of the picture has a wonderful abstract quality to it both in color and lines. Overall, the colors are great. |

Hi Paul,
My first feeling was quiet serenity, similar to Barbara's comment. I also didn't see the top line, and agree Steve's crop is an improvement. Interestingly, when you think of a challenge such as "motion", the expected results will reflect serious movement, but you've answered the challenge a quiet triangle of ruffled water behind the duck and surrounded by quiet water motions shown in the water reflections. Hi Barbara,
This is a great capture. I struggle getting my flowers sharp, and here you've got the sharpness in the flower, butterfly body, all the while the wings are in motion! Nice idea for the motion challenge this month. |

Hi Fat,
This is the kind of image I've been looking to capture but never seem to be at the right place/time. Also we just don't have these many colorful umbrella's in the same place. Love the capture. I too felt like cropping it on the top somewhat but I couldn't settle on it. I love the bus on the left with the "patient" driver. |

Hi Tim,
I love the feeling of motion in this water capture. I felt that the image could use more contrast so I played with it a little in LR, bringing out the clarity in the white foam in the center left. Also I used HSL sliders to enhancing the blue/green colors. I also used the brush to bring out some of the highlights also. Attached is my revision. |
