Good idea about the crop. I got carried away with the sky! |

Hi,
"showing the power of the water" is a bit of an understatment - there is real power here! I wouldn't want to be carried away by that water. Love the composition with the dam base at bottom right at an angle with the water fanning out with strips of color - white and yellow. Great capture! |

Hi,
I love graphic photos and this work pulled a "wow" from me when I first saw it. Great seeing and approaching it at a great angle. The yellow cast adds interest to this photo for me. The tick/tack/toe effect of the lines and water is fun. |

Hi,
This is a nice capture. The water is definitely the subject, which has been nicely handled. The composition is good and the color of the fall trees in the background add to the image. There is definitely a feeling of tranquility and peacefulness here. I wouldn't have thought to use HDR as a method of softening the water- thanks for the lesson!

Hi Barbara,
there is great composition in this photo with the geyser based in the lower left with the steam plume bringing you up into the sky and meantime the angle of the sand adds a nice tension. The HDR software did a good job in pulling the two pictures together, but I do seem to see some color noise in the sky, that possibly could have used a little de-noise filter. |

Hi,
this is a stunning capture. The colors work together so well and the soft, bubbly texture surrounding the women/girl brings your eye right into the subject. The water reflection is great. There is so much feeling that comes across in this work. We have a fountain similar to this and I'm always trying to get a good capture, but I've never got close to this. Great eye and skill in getting this! |

Hi Tim,
This is a very interesting capture. I was focusing on the center area and began to see a white bird in flight. I think the colors in the top part of the photo is a bit distracting. I just reviewed other's comments and see that a black and white would make this more attractive.
This was a great idea! |
