13 Aug 18 Reply Hi Steve
I intended to crop a little off the right side, and thought I had, but when I saw my submission, I mustn't have hit the OK button.

To ALL - Thank you for the greetings. I look forward to our future discussions!

13 Aug 18 Comment The photo is sharp throughout reflecting some repeating lines (stripes in the house are mirrored in the work cones). The scene is filled with activity - with the workers and the cement truck who are layered between the row of houses and the road with the striped construction cones. Unfortunately there was so much to look at it had a sense of being cluttered. I tried to crop different sections and my best option was to hone in on the three works, with just a little of the truck showing, cutting off the top of the houses and bald sky. There was a lot there to capture and a little more closeup next time should provide some good shots. Aug 15th
13 Aug 18 Comment What caught my eye when viewing this work was the motion. Your effort to capture motion was successful. The work results in the viewer being curious - for example, when I saw the thumbnail, I asked myself, "What is this?". Discovering it to be a dictionary, I then viewed it further to discover what words were seen in the sharp area. At this point I lost my way as to what the intent of the work was. Possibly if the words I was able to read was "motion" or "movement", it would have pulled it all together. I like the vertical presentation and it being in black and white. Aug 15th
13 Aug 18 Comment The color is beautifully presented, with purple and orange - complementary colors put to use. Great detail and texture throughout. Composition with the lower 1/3 is nicely placed. My eye initially is caught by the vibrant center of the flower, but then broadens the search circling around the stamens, but kept in the picture by the purple petals hugging most edges of the photo. There is only one spot - midway on right- where the purple leaves don't hug the center. This work certainly fulfills the assignment. Aug 15th
13 Aug 18 Comment I really like this piece as it certainly met the challenge to fill the frame, but a happy smile appeared on my face when I saw the water droplet perfectly placed! Composing the plant's center in the lower left 3rd, with the leaves radiating upward at an angle --- joyful! Colors are nice and enhanced by the angle of light. Great detail, with depth of field fall-off held to a minimum. Great shot. Aug 15th
