72 Mar 19 Comment Isaac, this is a great example of the power of HDR in bringing out detail that cannot be seen other wise while not over doing it. The composition is right on with the tree branches leading your eye to the vultures. The color of the sky really enhances the overall image. The only thing I might have tried would be to darken the foreground to make the silhouette more uniform and to match the trees in the background. Well done. Mar 9th
72 Mar 19 Comment Adrian, your timing on this captured the intensity of the struggle for life that is so common in nature. I agree with Isaac that the 5.6 focus blurred the background, and the cropping while it enhanced the most important part of the image, also made the edges soft. Still, a great capture, and the water drops add to the intensity of the moment. Mar 9th
72 Mar 19 Comment Kent, that is so true. You use the tools at hand to capture the image. The cameras on phones have made great strides in the last few years. I took alot of shots on my recent trip to Israel on my Iphone Max. The image is framed well and the colors are good. It does look a bit crunchy like it was over sharpened? Mar 9th
72 Mar 19 Comment Mary, I agree with Isaac, the image is soft, and while the vignetting helps to frame the image, the crop is a little to much. You might be able to recover some of the detail by processing with Topaz AI clear if you have that software. They have also just released AI Sharpen that would help regain some detail. Mar 9th
72 Mar 19 Comment Abhijeet, Wow, I am impressed at the clarity of this shot given that you took it handheld. I would darken the background highlights some to add contrast to the birds, but that is my preference. I would also remove the banana in the lower right as I find it distracting. Great capture! 72 Mar 19 Comment Bruce, I have seen a lot of bird shots, and I like this one very much. The timing is perfect, and sets a story in motion for you to fill in the blanks with with some version of comments between the two. The image is sharp and the background has great bokeh. The only thing I might have done different is to darken the background a bit to add some more contrast to the birds. Well done, I am jealous. Mar 9th
