Here is the adjusted image. I could not get the full image size from the raw file, so I just worked with the finished one. Applied Nik Define and Topaz AI Clear. If I had the real raw file, it would turn out better. Look at the reduction in the grain of the background and the enhanced detail of the ducks. |

Isaac, what a great capture! I do not have a good birding lens yet, so have not taken many shots like this. I agree with Bruce in that the branches on the left are a distraction, but removing them could introduce artifacts that would be more distracting. The cropping is spot on and the detail on the Osprey is excellent. Just for fun, I ran this thru AI Clear for detail and Viveza 2 to change the sky background a bit to bring out the Osprey a bit more. Excellent work! |

Adrian, I really like the composition of this shot, so I played around with some adjustments including Topaz AI Clear and Viveza 2 to add some color adjustments to the sky for more contrast against the sloth and to soften the green on his arm. I added some shadow adjustments to bring out the dark area in his face. I hope to visit Costa Rica soon also. Good luck on your current visit. |

Kent, this is a difficult shot to judge. I agree that the composition is great, but the colors and shadows detract from the final shot. A polarizing filter would have helped alot with this and potentially a fill flash to bring out the details of the otter and the loon. |

Mary, I like the image, and you were able to bring back the detail and color balance using the post processing tools. The contrast of the mountain against the crops in the foreground works well, but I might have added a bit more foreground to balance against the sheer size of the mountain. You might get some of that with a small crop. Well done. |

Abhijeet, I agree with the others on the crop. It is a distraction in that your eye wonders to the end of the wing and forces you to complete it in your mind. I would have also used some noise reduction to smooth out the background and bring out the detail of the ducks. Topaz AI Clear would do a great job on this shot. |

Very nice! I really like how the DOF on both the top and bottom draws your eye right to the star of the shot. The colors are a wonderful mix, and compliment the red of the cardinal. Finally, the eye is in sharp focus as it should be for this type of image. Well done! |
