79 Feb 20 Comment Yes Sandra.....I possibly could have used the PS Content Aware or the Clone Tool. Good point. It is distracting now that you have pointed it out! Feb 24th
79 Feb 20 Comment Yes, initially I found this image unsettling too, but on reflection a bit contrived. What is this very hostile woman doing roaming around with earrings and lipstick on, clothes off and on an obstacle course? It seemed more of a matter of having nudity for the sake of nudity and the impact thereof. Perhaps no make-up and jewellery, dirt smears etc. may have given rise to more of a story, albeit possibly an unpleasant one. I'm afraid, on an emotional level, I just don't like it. However, technologically, the image is wonderfully sharp, particularly the eyes which are so important. Lovely skin tones too.
Maybe the same composition, featuring a clothed woman showing sheer determination to reach the top????

79 Feb 20 Comment Yes....who indeed. To be honest, I'm not too good with titles and am sure this one could have been better named :-) Fair comment. Feb 10th
79 Feb 20 Comment Hi Lauren....very cool! Clever. You have quite a creative streak! I love the layout of the star! The colours are great too. It's amazing when you look around, at what is available at our fingertips to take images of. Keep having fun! Feb 10th
79 Feb 20 Comment Yes, Sandra...gorgeous colours and a nice perspective. What an idyllic evening!! There's quite a bit of noise in the image and it might be worthwhile considering the de-noise app that Topaz has recently released. I've been amazed at the results.

It IS amazing what a phone can do photographically these days! Have you seen what Julianne Kost (Principal Digital Imaging Evangelist for Adobe) does with an iPhone. Take a peek if you get the chance. There are also lots of free tutorials for Photoshop and Lightroom there as well. Well worth spending some time wandering through some of them.

79 Feb 20 Comment Hi May...an interesting image. I quite like that you've gone for monotone for the almost ordinariness of the San Jose Road. The quirkiness of the palms and the piece of building, however, give us some clues of what lies beyond and stir imagination. I wonder if you had increased the contrast in the building drama of the clouds, whether it may have added some impact and a little tension to the story??
I really like the simplicity of this image.
The road itself is not quite sharp - I think the camera has caught the palms - and the area on the right seems very out of focus. Not sure what has happened here.
Well seen May. Keep up the good work.

79 Feb 20 Comment Hi Judith....it sounds as if you've learnt a lot whilst creating this image. That's what it's all about, isn't it!
The effect is rather startling with the juxtaposition of bright against dark and moody.
I think the skeleton has rather a comic look on his face which makes the image less tense than it could have been. I'm not sure if you were after a lighthearted, fun feel or something more dramatic.
I think you've done a great job and achieved something rather clever and certainly very different!
NB...watch the whites blowing out on the little patch left bottom of the prism and it may be worth tidying up the little dots and things at the top there. The clone tool should be all you need.
