Hi May
To be honest, I don't have any reaction to this image except for maybe "why?" I think perhaps Karl is correct when he suggests that our work is sometimes just for us.....and that's really fine. Val |

Hi Lauren
Fabulous image. Tree on fire! Well seen and good work on post. Sometimes the fill adjustment tool works in these situations, but suspect this image too busy top left and you want some leaves up there too. It probably wouldn't work well. What you've done is not bad...perhaps you could have broken the clump up a little. I really like it as is. Val |

Hi Karl...love the flower.....all of it; frost, colour, shapes, textures and the wonderful detail you've captured. I don't know about the grey furry shape, bottom left though. It's distracting and bothers me because I can't identify it. I wonder why you chose to keep it?
I don't love square crops, but wonder if one would have worked here???
Re subject of sharp or fuzzy bought up by Sandra, I think either are appropriate depending on the effect you want to achieve at the time. Perhaps sharp if you are photographing the flower as a specimen rather than as a work of art. Val |

Hi Sandra
Not an image that works for me as I am not clear what the subject is. I know you have said architecture, but I believe the trees being centred and there being so many of them, tend to take precedence. I also keep looking at the background tree which seems to be growing out of the front tree.
I like the sweeping exterior and the consistent patterns of the windows and how the opposite wall mirrors this, but I just feel that the trees split the image into two parts.
I think I would have maybe tried for the architectural aspect from an angle which didn't give the trees so much importance, if that was possible. Val

Hi Judith
Lovely image......I'm not so interested in the face/s, rather the lovely shapes, textures and colours of the leaves themselves, and the shadows cast. agree with Lauren re the Photoshopping of the white area and while I was at it, possibly remove the two little yellowy distractors top left. Nicely seen. |
