In my first rendition I tried to highlight the glass block windows, but I failed to really create a place to rest your eye as you correctly noted.
I went back and added more shadows and removed the wiring that led you out of the frame that Michael commented on. I tried doing a horizontal flip but it didn't look right.

Mark,
Great street scene. Small changes will make it pop
I simply reduced the exposure 3/4 of a stop of your image to bring down the background which helps to keep your eyes on the people

Michael,
Well seen. I like the beach goers flanking your subject - which is positioning favorably in your image.
Well done

Adrian,
You dir a masterful job of pulling your subject out of the shadows. Positioning her to right of frame is perfect. Having the vendor in the shadows is also a good choice
My eye sees the 7/8 "hot" bananas though . They have lost some detail and probably need to be brought down a some. It may require a PS layer to fix them and then a mask.

I like what you did here. The building has great texture and jumps off the frame to the viewer. It has a foreboding air to it.
No improvements needed from my eyes.

Gary,
Nice wide angle vista of the pacific. Your processing brings the viewers eye to the lighthouse on the hill side.
I wish you had used longer lens on the lighthouse.

I liked the scale of your original so rendered it into BW. I removed a few things here and there in my rendition.
I noticed a few sensor spots in the clouds that are also in your BW image and there are light areas in the sky behind both trees that are not in the original?

Charles,
I like it and it is a great time to of year to experiment. It does not have the IR look our group posts but I think the owner has dibs on the rendering style.
Although the bird adds a wildlife element, it is pretty small in the scheme of things.

The rocks need more light and the path could use a touch more as well.
The path is your lead into the frame and the area above it where the path "disappears" could be dodged a bit. I also used a linear gradient on the rocks to open them up a bit. Here is my cut at it

Henry,
Fabulous shot.
The straight lines of the Church against the randomness of the terrain and sky is what draws my eye.
Nicely done

This would be a classic shot if it only had the Mail Pouch barn; it would be a classic shot if it were just the old cars. Combined it is just off the charts in my humble opinion.
