A good practice
I wait to edit photos that that I have just taken to break the emotional tie, as well as waiting to finish editing. You see things differently after time has passed. I will also print a copy as well to see how it looks. All in the name of getting a good image.

Leah,
Your image has a great deal of space for interpretation as witnessed by the two offshoots Oliver and I offered here. That is a good thing and it makes it challenging to decide where the end state should be (or not)

Wonderful concept. The tulip has the texture captures your eye and then you move to its taller shadow suggesting an angle to the light source. I understand your desire to add noise and it works for me. I concur with Oliver to add a touch more space on the edges but it is not a show stopper by any means

Bob,
High marks to you for applying the Liquid Lines to the driftwood, it works very well and will inspire us to take a crack at it as well.

Leah,
Great texture and lines in your abandoned farm scene.
I decided to go step further into the macabre/Twilight Zone with your April submission. In LR I cropped and rotated the scene, darkened the bottom and the upper area on the right which is the shadow below the roof line so only the bold would venture in.

You have this one edited to perfection. My eye goes right to the subject and I understand immediately the story being told. I also like the lighting of the decorative structures just inside the gate, just enough to give you foreground interest.

This is a great still shot with a generous pour in the glass as well.
I too feel the edges are just a little too tight to your subject. I have the Sony 24-70mm lens as well, nice glass and a go to item for me as well. Try a wider setting and then crop as needed, you will have a much nicer shot I believe.

I did work to dodge the leaves adjacent to the Reading Room and was timid about going further. In retrospect I could go a a little farther down that road
Thanks for your comments

It is great to have another IR shooter in our group who brings another perspective to this genre of photography,
I love your composition, it has a structure, foliage and a water way for leading you into the image and its reflections. The landscape format is the choice I would make as well. Leaving the structure to the right in your image is the artist's call especially since you wanted to retain the sense of village.

Melanie,
You would have left the IR camera in your bag if your DSLR was operating properly and we would not have a had the pleasure of viewing the the nice patterns of the stalactites in infrared. Thanks for being bold.

High marks for tackling this portraiture in IR. They are both stunning. I am drawn to your second image after looking at both for a period of time.
Nicely processed as always Gary

I like your framing of the lighthouse, it is a thoughtful composition. My colleagues correctly noted to add a little dodging to your clouds and you are good to go.
