Love it
The elements are just peeling the paint away. It will never see the job site again but many photographers will put her to work

Leah,
Love it. I am a fan of old rusty cars and trucks. Photography gives them a new life.
Nothing like the Ford logo from and center in a BW.

I like simple shots. They are easier to see than do. Marvelous texture and tonality in your shot. The background provides nice contrast to what I would call a gusset, the triangular piece of metal used to strengthen corners typically.
I wonder how many purple walked by this metal part and never gave it a second look.

F2 Handheld sometimes you do what is needed to get the shot
The stamen and the "crown" around it are nicely in focus, the petals are soft but not distracting. I think the stem that is to the right provides a sense of balance to the Lily itself so I think it should stay. The mottled background is perfect.
Good job

Jack,
I am happy you joined in the comment thread over here.
I made a copy of the truck and upped the contrast. My initial reaction was in changed the shape of the highlights but it didn't feel like it was better, I will look again in a day or so. I take constructive feedback the way anyone should, I try the changes because if it makes you a better operator in digital darkroom then I gained some ground. For whatever reason I am a moderate consist person but sensitive to need to experiment more with the slider.
I appreciate your thoughts as always

I think you did a nice job, I like the subtle tint that I used in Artisan.
I am sold on it and need to keep processing images to get into a rhythm using it. I tend to cheat using LR filters for some dodging and burning.
I intend to submit an architectural scene next moth which is why I added Artisan to my tool belt.
Thanks

I love the effect camera tilt has on IR imagery, it opens up another dimension for our artistry. 1/6 second does not give you a lot of time to execute the tilt, it takes work and you did very well here. You made the right choice, the straight BW was a bit stark

Thanks for taking the trouble to share with us the backstory of this cemetery. It has a long history
You treated this sacred ground with respect. You placed your camera so that no headstone was blocked and I like the cropping of the sky. It makes the scene more intimate and I can image the clouds as ancestors looking over the cemetery.

Your love of the great desert shows in this image. I think the layers are perfect, well lit foreground with a bush front and center, the barren mid ground a little darker and then the rocky background that wraps around the image. I like the light streak in the background tells there is more to see past the bushes.
The vastness of this place is there for us to enjoy

This image is amazing on several fronts. The view through the arched windows is perfect, the vertical lines are vertical, the tone is great, and there is just enough detail in the space where you composed this shot to allow to explore the space. I do not feel you need to lighten this space, the subject is outside.
Jack noted that the framing to the left of the window is a slight distraction and it can be fixed in PS if you feel inclined.
This image is well done

I appreciate your constructive feedback you are too kind.
In retrospect I should have gone in another direction when I started to process this image for submittal. The composition is not well seen. The subject is the waterfall but it is too far right, the path (grass) in the foreground, that I lightened. takes you off to the left. I did crop the image and saw that further cropping was not going to help the subject. Should have stopped and rebooted right there with another image.
I look forward to Dec

Emil
