Charles,
Here is my rendition with the steam color retained. I started over vice trying to blend the image I posted with the raw version.

Your suggestion for retaining color is very intriguing. I will blend the water from the original with the background and repost it for feedback.

I am on the same wavelength as Gary, i think his crop really changed the game. I took the liberty to tweek Gary's rendition. I lightened the boat in the foreground, added white to clouds in the sky where it made sense to me, and darkened the patch of trees to the left of the building just a tad.

There is no treasure without the search. Nice shot of the HooDoo. My inclination is to bring the faint clouds up a notch to add a little more interest in the sky but not to compete with Mr HooDoo

Interesting treatment, it took me awhile to get warmed up to your image. I am on board with your work. Food for thought, what if you darkened the arch a tad so it anchors the picture?

I like the outcome of your processing very much. Vertical is perfect for this vanishing point type image. I like the mood your treatment of the trees lining the path creates. If a beggar could be a chooser, I would like a dark sky with long steaky clouds in this image.

Melanie,
Nice work. It is pretty cool that you can take an IR image and render it into what appears to be a photo taken with your color DSLR. The Life pixel actions must be powerful and I will look into them shortly. My feeling is for us to keep trying Color IR until we develop a style that is on a par with or BW work.
