Thanks Brenda.
I took note of your previous suggestion about the vines (they are metal poles from an old rusty chair) but got lazy on cloning them out :) as I was doing this edit in LR vs PS (which I find much more proficient at that type of cloning).
I've got lots of mystical magical images, just haven't shared them all with the group ;-) |

I imagine 4-wheeling around this area must have been fun. And nice that you could stop off to get some pics along the way.
I think the larger cabin works better as it did seem minimized previous. |

Powerful image Mitch. I like the symbolic elements that you have included with the use of selective color and serendipity of the rose. The addition of the colored trees brings it together.
I also thought it seemed too tilted, but I like Brenda's idea about it adding to the representation of falling down.
I also really like Sunil's version.

Wow, you do get some unique photo opps Terry and this is no exception! Great position of the sharks in the frame. I like your edit with the removal of the rock.
I know you are right there in the action, but when I first saw this, I thought it was from the safety of a pane of aquarium glass. Maybe due to the noise or the way it reproduced off the video. Not that that is a bad thing, but sharing as a first impression. |

That is really cool that you have this place nearby. I would get back there if you are able, and get some more photos another time.
Funny, my first inclination before looking at any other comments was to crop tighter to the necks, and then I see that was the general idea from everyone. I like Mitch's monochrome version which nicely highlights the texture and patterns. |

Thanks Lance. This is true, and the ability to create even further distortions of reality through AI / sky replacements and other such techniques only blur the lines further.
In the end, like the painting, I suppose it is up to the creator to display it in the way they believe it should be represented.
Though of course in the realm of competitive photography, the ground rules should be honored by all participants. |

Fantastic moody image!
My only critique other than the previous comments, is that there seems to be some halo'ing going on in the edges of the grass against the sky. Particularly at the left of the top of the rock. It could just be in this lower resolution version vs your original, but would suggest you take a look at that and see if you can smooth it out a little more if needed. |

This is a good recovery Helen. I really like the watery reflection on the floor.
I find myself drawn to that middle part with the row of lights going in. I think you have a solid image cropping into just this section with or without the reflection.
I especially like the contrast between the cool tones inside the hallway with the warm tones outside. |

Hi Lance. Thanks for dropping in and for your comment. I didn't know that about Monet.
That is a funny thing about photography, we can present the world as we found it, or we can present the world as we want others to see it. |

Thanks Brenda. No leash but looks like a vine or branch. Will see if I can clean that. |
