Thanks Brenda. Oklahoma has lots of scenic spots. This wildlife refuge where Mount Scott is located (Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge) was rated as one of the top places to see wildlife in the country. |

Thanks Terry for the ideas. I have several photos from this scene so would probably go with another vs editing this one. |

That is a great workflow Terry, thanks! I can say in 20+ years of using Photoshop I don't think I ever used Blur Average let alone setting the gray point like that in levels. Old dog meets new trick :) |

This is a cool sculpture Sunil. I think your darkened windows edit in response to Helen is better. Though as Mitch said, it is a tough scene.
Did you get any photos look at the sculpture with your back to the window? |

Before seeing this was an art exhibit, I was thinking this looked like a really strange and magical bookstore.
To me, your edit conveys that "magic in the ordinary" sense with the kid pondering the odd colorful books, and the almost surreally clean surrounding.
I don't have much to add. Maybe one idea would be to darken the bookshelf just slighting to put more focus on the kid and add a little more contrast to the overall scene. |

My first thought when I saw this on your Aminus3 page previously was that it looked like a 3D rendering from a video game.
I like the effect of the puppet morph but like the lines in the original as well.
Seems like an image you could process in a lot of ways with many different looks in mind. This futuristic sci-fi look works well. But seems like you could get a bunch more looks like "dark city" gritty. Retro old film oversaturated. I'd play around with some film filters if you have those kind of LR presets (or in other apps) and see what you can create. I'll post a few of my quick edits too. |

When I first saw this image, I thought, "Oooo, that Brenda is enjoying her time in Florida and getting to do some model photography by the warm sea."
Then I saw that this was Lake Michigan and that made me giggle because I'm thinking it is probably not quite as warm and enjoyable for the model!
Still, the sandy beach and waves give a similar effect.
I like her tie-dyed dress. It goes with her funky blue hair and pixie like pose. I tried to do something with the color version and find that cranking up the exposure and adding (or rather sliding slider to the left) dehaze gives it a dreamy high-key kind of look. This is a quick edit but you could probably do more or even try an Orton Effect for a more creative interpretation.
*edit* I also like that bit of reflection at the bottom and tried to work that into the composition |

You did a great job bringing out those details. It is nicely framed with the arc of the bridge and the strong line of the railing leading to the person. The shadow pattern adds a great touch as well.
I would suggest cropping a bit off the right side and bottom to bring the focus more immediately to the person. That would also create a stronger diagonal flow from bottom right to top left with the person at the intersection of those lines. |

Wow wow, what a fantastic image!
You've really captured the power of this bird using its muscles to slow up to land. The light rain makes an excellent, unique element as well.
If it were my photo I'd be inclined perhaps to add just a bit of contrast or darken the darks slightly.
If you were looking for fine art print vs nature competition, you might clone out the landing branch. Even though that adds context, I think it would be a great image without it as well. |
