Hi Larry. Thank you for dropping in and for your insights.
It is a bold idea to remove the white cow but you are right about the eye going to the bright spots and it does give a different kind of balance to the image like this.
It is a creative idea, thanks! |

Brenda, I think your edits look great.
Although I hate to say but to me it seems to still be leaning (right I think). Like I've mentioned before, there are just some images I rotate back and forth and back again and can never seem to get it right. On this one I would tend to go to the left just slightly but maybe that is just my perception. |

I like your ideas, thanks Jim. The foreground crop and blur brings the eye to the first cow. |

I really like the street lights and dome of the vatican against that yellowy blue sky. Beautiful night street scene Brenda.
Good job on the halos. I didn't notice many. But do have an idea to introduce a few more.
I think the noise is OK on the street and buildings, giving it some urban grit, but don't like the way the sky has those artifacts in it (kind of like JPG artifacts + noise).
One idea is to select the sky and paste on a dedicated layer in Photoshop. Then either paint in a blur effect, or use a filter blur like Gaussian. This will smooth out the sky without messing with the rest of the image. But this will also make some halows and blurry areas around the tops of the buildings which you'd need to cut out again.
Here's a quick example that I started to demonstrate. |

Thanks Brenda. I didn't even see that nose on the left, good catch!
I'd be interested to see a quick edit with the clouds as you envision them. |
