Good subject matter, fun but yeah, tricky to get for sure. Agreed it's a little soft but I know I couldn't hold it steady at 1/30; to much coffee. Did you have a chance to use a tripod, maybe not if you were in a museum, etc. I agree with Tom on the angle and DOF. A straight on shot may have worked depending on what you wanted as the primary point of interest |

Nice capture, for sure getting them to sit still is tough. Your 150mm focal length really worked for you here, getting the flowers and butterfly in good focus. And well done on getting the butterfly well lit; it's easy to under expose these critters. I agree with Cindy, would make a nice print. |

Great image, I like the vertical lines and your editing brings out the color contrasts. It's nice to have good subject matter right in your own yard. Jessica make a good point, more blacks might be interesting. |

I like the contrasting textures of the rust and old wood. Makes me curious as to what a color version would look like. Would the chain stand out more or blend into the background. Nice capture. |

Nice capture; good of the bee to center itself and pose <;-) I would like to have seen more DOF; looks like you had headroom to may shoot at f8 and still have a quick shutter speed. |

I agree, good eye to catch these guys when they blend so well. Your edits really help, I know it's difficult with the small files that are produced from cell phones (unless you were able to shoot RAW). My only nit is maybe to darken that diagonal leaf in the foreground. |

Good idea, I did brighten a little but I see what you mean about the background. Thanks |
