Thanks Cindy and Tom, I see what you mean about the monochrome. |

Well done capturing this guy in mid flight. Nice detail on the bee (wasp?). One suggestion might be to darken the white "stone" area on the right side, it's a little distracting. |

Nice capture, Tom. I like how you have isolated the background, keeping the Cosmos the center of attention. Nice color and sharpness, and yeah, the curved petal is cool. You could probably crop in a little tighter and lose some of stem from bottom. May help keep the viewers eye centered on the bloom. |

Bees are such great subjects. I like what you have done with your post processing to tie everything together. I wish there had been more DOF for seeing all the bee has to offer but hey, in the field, not always possible. That horizontal wing is sharp and helps the viewers eye pull toward the insect. |

Nice image, sharp and has that nice flow coming up the left side. I like what you have done with the background, was there a light on it? Smooth transition. And good idea with the painted mason jar. Better to have that color than clear glass and specular highlights. Well balanced and well done ! |

Nice to have a backyard full of this color. Well captured with good color and texture. Makes you feel like Spring is on the way. |
