57 Jul 24 Comment Thanks folks; appreciate the comments. I made a crop to a 8x10 print format and also posted that file here. After reading some of the comments, I realized that the crop really did crowd the gray stone on the left. I am posting the original formatted image which does give more breathing room on the sides. I still like having both stones, giving the triangle area of interest effect for the composition. Jul 27th
57 Jul 24 Comment The green fern works well on the black back ground, and nice crop as well. Good technique for getting the black by controlling the light. I did the flash thing by accident once; took a shot of a fall leaf on the tree in late after with a on camera flash, provide enough light to show the leaf but SS was fast enough not register any light in the background. 57 Jul 24 Comment Nice capture, I like the interplay of textures between the wood and metal. I agree with Jessica, maybe a little bit micro contrast adj. on the wood could bring some more detail. Jul 22nd
57 Jul 24 Comment Good capture and I can imagine you didn't have time to plan the perfect. But you captured the moment. Rather than put on a vignette, is there room in your file to pull the 'whites' slider, esp. on the 2nd bird without blowing out the highlights. That might give the effect Jessica is looking for. 57 Jul 24 Comment The Sign Museum is on my list of 'must sees'. Nice perspective shooting up; along with strong color it really helps hold the viewers interest. Would make a nice backdrop for SciFi credit reel. Jul 22nd
57 Jul 24 Comment Nice composition. I like combination of lines and textures. And I think the blue gives the viewer a second chance to keep interest in the center of the photo. Yeah, maybe the vignette is a little heavy but I like dark images. Jul 22nd
57 Jul 24 Comment Luv mushroom images. It can be difficult to get good focus on a white subjects. Maybe brighten up the shadow under the shroom would be nice too. Good job. Jul 22nd
