57 Feb 24 Reply I know what you mean about the snow. I don't think there's a good answer for making it sharper, just makes it more crunchy, as would dynamic contrast. I've had good luck with snow by softening using negative Clarity. Easier on the eyes. Feb 27th

57 Feb 24 Comment I like to shoot orchids as well and I'm torn between getting really close to show the center or backing out to show the whole flower. I think Cindys edits are nice touch. All I might want to add is to brighten up the yellows in the center a little bit. Feb 14th
57 Feb 24 Comment Amaryllis make such great subject, and this red is a beauty. Good idea adding additional light to the Stamens, makes them stand out and hold the viewers attention. The thin green border is great, really helps break that black on black presentation. Feb 14th
57 Feb 24 Comment Nice bird capture; kudos for getting this fast mover in your frame. Nice sharpness and detail considering the high ISO. He/she does looks like she's staring you down. Good job on getting color contrast separation on the chest feathers, really helps to show depth. Feb 14th

95 Feb 24 Comment Nice image Carol. I like what you have done; when I do the oil/water thing I obsess too much on the sharpness of the bubbles. This shot just proves that's not always needed. Good work on lining up the orbs and adding a textured background. Feb 14th
