57 Jan 24 Comment Really cool image. My eye keeps following the path around and around. Good lighting. There may some softness in there from the f22 aperture. I wonder how the wood texture would look if you took stacked images, say at f11. Light was in short supply since you used a high ISO I see, so I know you're juggling your settings. Was your camera on a tripod ? If so, was it possible to shoot at a lower ISO, and longer shutter speed. Just wondering. Jan 21st
57 Jan 24 Comment Luv that rusty stuff. Nice capture, esp. with the shadows. There's a lot going here so I think Cindy's adjustment helps by keeping the viewers interest centered and her contrast adj adds some depth. Jan 21st
57 Jan 24 Comment Very nice capture and really tells a story. How cool for you to have this opportunity to capture real life drama on the fly. I like your processing, really makes the image pop. I know you wanted to keep his name in the frame but would interested to see a crop concentrating on his face, there is some emotion and intensity there.
Good for him, continuing his passion and success, age be dammed.

57 Jan 24 Comment Nice image; well composed with good color and sharpness. The off-center placement of the red bulb really works in this image. The agree with Toms removal of the flare on the red bulb. That right upper corner is a little distracting but the red color is strong enough to hold a viewers attention. Jan 21st
57 Jan 24 Comment Nice image. I like the color and lighting and the black background really makes them stand out. Judging from your high ISO, there was not much light but I wonder if an aperture of f11 would have brought more of those needles into sharpness. Jan 21st
57 Jan 24 Comment I like this image; the shells have many interesting shapes and lines. Maybe one thing that might address Tom's comment is to selectively paint in some contrast on certain shells to make them stand out from the others. Jan 21st
57 Jan 24 Reply Good idea, thanks Jan 21st
57 Jan 24 Reply Yes, I see what you mean. I was hoping the lines and texture would be enough but a stronger point of interest would help. Thanks Jan 21st
