What nice color; these blooms want to make me think Spring, not so much December.... haha. Is this an African Violet? Agreed that the softness is a problem. Does Neo allow for you to go in manually a make further sharpening adjustments? Maybe noise reduction added softness you didn't want. Hand holding a shot at 1/60 is difficult for me as well. Sometimes I'll use the burst mode to capture a bunch of shots hoping that will increase my chances of getting a keeper. |

Rusty things always seem to make great subjects. I like the wrench/bolt connection; it tell a story. I agree that the bright green pulls interest away from your main subject. I'm wondering if there is more detail in the rust you might be able to extract with a clarity or HDR adjustment; don't know if some was lost in the denoise process but if there is more there I think it would strengthen the composition.
I've heard that Photoshop has added a new HDR feature that can pull detail out of single image RAW photos.

I like your composite image, Mary. It shows good mastering of the tools at your disposal. There's story here that would peak the interest of any viewer. I see what Cindy is saying about the candle but yet if you eliminate the red can and leave the flame suspended, I think that might confuse a viewer. I like blue color grading you use which adds to the mystery and fantasy of the image; maybe the hand, though has too much blue.... mmm, I don't know. I torn on that one. |

For sure bringing out some holiday color. I like the contrast between the prickly spines and the flower. How images were stacked to get this result. Shooting at 2.8 and getting the depth you must have been more than a few. Nice that it allowed good depth of field. Merry Christmas |

Nice grouping and a very natural capture. The group of three makes for a strong composition. That water droplet on the left is great and really captures the viewers attention. Makes me feel like I'm out in the orchard picking apples. If I had to nit-pick I'd say horizontal leaf on the bottom is a little distracting. |

Nice image; capturing its transition to a fading bloom is a nice composition. I like the radial formation of the 'petals' in the middle. Contrast, sharpness and color are all well balanced and pleasing to the eye. |

Thanks Cindy, I like your crop, the vignette is a little heavy for my taste but it's always good to have range to work with. |

Another nice soft flower image Carol. It always seems to work when you do it. The flow of the petal edges I think make the image. I suspect the 'water color' effect may have come from the flash??? Maybe creating some color shifts and reducing contrast. Whatever thou, I like it.
I agree with Stuart on Don K. images and technique. But your flower images always remind me more of the work by Ann Belmont out of Chicago who uses Lens Baby glass to get her results.
