Hi Marcela, thanks for the comment. The drops were a 50/50 mixture of water and glycerine which makes the drops last longer and less likely to say. I placed the mixture onto the disk using a small syringe (no needle). Sorry about leaving it out of the original description, got too wrapped up the lighting. |

I like the color and the sharpness of the interior petals. The whites of the outside petals I think are a little over exposed. The soft background with Bokeh looks nice. |

Thanks Jessica. I moved the light pen around. It took some experimentation. The results you get depend a lot on the angle of the light and how much you move in relation to the exposure. Attached is another example where I moved the light more in front of the disk. The image above the light was held at a right, low angle. |

I agree with Cindy; fantastic image and great processing. All your work enhances the image from the square format with tinted frame to the new background. The camera built-in focus stacking did a great job and shooting straight down probably helped with this also. I like that you rotated the bee to be on more of a diagonal plane which strengthens the composition IMHO. Yes, frameable for sure! |

Beautiful image Cindy, nice capture. Good sharpness on the head and eyes. Your dodging/burn torches look good and natural and add some depth to the image. The diagonal line formed between the two bunches of pink flowers make a nice leading line carrying the viewer through your image. |

Thanks Cindy. It was fun playing around but yet it did 'teach' me some about light and reflections. If you plan doing any images with water drops, I'll pass along a tip that was given to me. Mix up a 50/50 solution of water and glycerin, the drops stick around longer and hold their shape better. |
