Cool subject; I remember playing with one these many moons ago. You have capture some nice action, which I know is fleeting. Maybe as an alternative to Jessicas suggestion to eliminate the finger; make it more the center of attraction. Brighten the finger, and maybe get a shot of the lamp reacting just before the finger touches. |

They look good enough to eat. Your focus stacking worked out well; it's nice to have that depth of field. Good color and I like that you left a little green in there as well. It's looks to me like the plate is tilting to the right, and all that white to right pulls some eye balls away from your main subject. |

Nice capture which I know is difficult under these condition; the glass is tricky. You have captured his personality, and the monochrome treatment is perfect. That left, upper white is distracting, maybe a vignette would tone it down. Also, I have to say that vertical line up the middle really pulls my eye away. Maybe a little content aware treatment could eliminate that. |

Nelson, hope you are recovering well. I like your image and the square format with border is a good idea. Good idea on the reflection, complements the main subject very well. I agree its a little dark; maybe move the flower a little more to the center and back off slightly on the vignette. |

I too am a rusty things lover... what is about a society that luvs new things, is also drawn to our past and its rust? Old steam RR stuff is great too. Really like this shot and it's colors and textures. I what the other are stay about the bolts in the upper left; they are interesting and have great detail. I guess if your main subject is the gauge, maybe you could crop to move the bolts a little more into the corner, then apply a vignette around the gauge. The viewers eye would go to brighter gauge then move through the image enjoying the other details. |

Nice image Carol, well done. As the others have said, you got the eyes tack sharp and enough of the 'hairs' sharp to really show us who he is. |
