Great image Larry, as others have said, you achieved your mission of crafting a moody, ethereal image. I used to live in the Tampa area and I'mnot used to seeing Fl beaches with these kind of rocks, thought was California <;-) Love the colors and the long exposure was the perfect adaptation to mother nature not giving you what you originally were looking for. (Visiting from the former Gp 60, now in 57). |

Thanks Larry, I was really attracted to lines and shapes in this image, which I'm glad you visualized and appreciated. There were 'button' in the lower section of the photos that were blown out, so it was another reason to crop. |

I agree with Carol; I have shots of the 'Bird' in my library which I like but there is always something not right. As in many of my shots the leaves in the background just take away from the flowers beauty. And finding a creative crop could be cool; maybe rotate the flower and zoom in as Carol mentioned. I like the contrasting 'orange' and blue colors. |

Nice image Carol. I like the profile view as apposed to a shot dead on from the front. Nice detail and clarity for a hand-held shot. You didn't mention your aperture setting but you got a lot in focus, looks really cool. The hair, the eye, all nice. And with a 60mm, yeah, you must have been close. Sometimes my 90mm is too close to the subject. How did you do the white background? |

Thanks Carol, I know it's a crop shot but since I couldn't get closer that day, I did what I could and found the horn an interesting subject. |

Great shot Larry; I luv waterfalls but most that we have here in WI don't have the vertical drop this one does. As others have mentioned, nice composition, well balance. Mother natures soft box is great. As for the flowers, maybe going into layers, adding a fill-layer, use eyedropper to pick color fro existing flowers, use one of the Blend modes, maybe soft light, then paint the white over exposed parts with just a touch of color may tap down that white look. |
