I've been to the Out of Chicago workshops held in Chicago for the past four years until this year. They changed the format and pricing, so it was out of my reach. But in previous years is was great way to visit and photograph Chicago. |

Thanks Denise. For sure the stacking went well on this shot, not always the case on my other attempts. Yes, that one smaller bud was over exposed, I worked with the exposure and hi light sliders to bring it down as much as I could but you see here is about the limit I could reach without that area going 'gray'. |

Very nice, the color is great, I like the diagonal angle as well. The gentle fall off to softness works great. I would have thought that at f5.6 the drop-off to out of focus would have happened quicker. As you said, the lighting is really nice, no hot spots. Say, was that workshop with Mike Moats ? I know does macro workshops at that location. His work is an inspiration. PS I like the B&W as well; hard to tell at that small size but all the tones look good. |

Well, I don't have much to add that hasn't been mentioned. As Denise stated, if the refraction water drop is you main focus, getting in closer would enable the viewer to see the refraction. Denises version is where I would aim for also. Hard I know with a 30mm lens, it puts you so close that your shadow may fall on your subject. |

Luv morning glories as well; such great climbers. Beautiful color on this shot but I agree that maybe a higher crop would keep the viewers eye from wandering off the image. |

Wow, nice capture. The flower is perfect, good DOF and sharpness. I don't mind the dragonfly because he sharp and completes a strong triad of interest for the viewer: white petals, vertical yellow center and the dragonfly, a nice balance in MHO. Your processing choices work well for this image. |

Nice capture, I understand how catching these speedy guys is tough. I like the diagonal angle of the rock, increase interest. Nice focus and sharpness. |
