I like your images of birds Cyndy and this one is no exception. I'm impressed how you have achieved the sharpness at 420 mm. Well done. |

I too like the image and despite I dislike post processing I must say that in this case it's fantastic. I agree about the cropping |

I like this image Trey and I can not add further comments to what is already said. But let me say I envy you the changing weather conditions. Here it's grey and rainy most of the time. |

I see what you mean about the cropping and I agree. However, I always try to make images SOOC so the post processing is absolutely minimal. |

I always use aperture priority and with the f1,4 I tried to get the foreground blurred unfortunately I didn't succeed. |

When I look at images it often makes me think of somehing I have read, seen or listened to earlier. Your image makes me think of the novel The Hound of Baskervilles by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Part of the action in the novel takes place on the moorland in Dartmoor, a location in Devon UK.
I have never been there but the description of the moor with the fog is exactly as I remember the novel.
Only great imagery can tell such a story. It is a rearly great image Ian. |
