A nice picture, perfect BW conversion. Very peaceful.
It is perfect, so not much I can come up. If I have to try something, I might try to leave more space. In other words something close to the original crop is what I might try. And I might also try to darken the main tree a little bit to make it pop out from the background. But those are just additional thoughts. They might not work out. Cheers. |

Just to share that, the revised version of the image for last month has been selected and published in 1x.com. Thanks all for your input to make it to this stage. And thanks for Brenda's suggestion on the title. I took it... :-)

A nice scene and good composition.
The girls' hair is a bit over exposed, I would reduce the highlight a little bit. The trees are a little flat, I would increase the yellow (and red maybe) color on the highlight of the trees, and increase the contrast of the trees.
I like the idea to remove the cell towers and the cars to give more natural feel and mood.
I would darken the rock a little bit so that the focus will be on the girls. I would lighten the road a little bit as well so that the shape of the road will pop out.
I gave it a try to show my thoughts. But I am not good at Photoshop...
A nice picture.

Hi Alan, it is a nice work. I also agree with Sunil on the brown highlight and Brenda on the tight crop. |

Hi Brenda,
Haven't done this type of work, so cannot comment on it. But it is certain a nice and amazing work to me. Maybe it is time to give us some introduction of how it was done?
I thought it should be in a high speed shutter. I cannot imagine that 3.3s freeze the movement though. |

Hi Sunil. It is nicely done. So not much I could say about it.
If...I have to say something. Here is my thoughts.
1) Halo around the figure. You can use Stamp tool with Darken mode to easily remove it.
2) Since a couple of people have been removed, I won't mind to clean the wall on the left hand side. There are some mark between the pillars. And maybe remove the light in the end (But I am not sure about that. It can be kept)
3) The removal of the man, particularly the reflection on the ground. Again the Stamp tool could help.
4) A bit noisy. So some more noisy reduction might help.
5) The space on the right hand side with elevator is a drawing the eyes. Not sure, but maybe it can be avoid by darkening or brightening or blurring that space.
Just some additional thoughts... |

Very nice, Abdo. you are the master of nightscape.
If possible, can you share more information.I guess ISO is pretty much 100 or lower. What kind of ND filter are you using in this picture?
Also can you share some post-processing tricks. I found the light is easy to over-exposed in the nightscape. How did you handle it? Thanks... |

Thanks Alan and Brenda,
The intention of this picture is to show the dynamic of the workflow, which the 'complex' composition is intended, and lost central point is preferred. I have some other pictures very clear and focused on one, or couple of subjects...
I picked this one, instead, trying to leverage the dutch angle, and the layers of people, also the direction of the workers, which is directing the viewer's eyes to different direction. All those are hoped to disclose a dynamic, busy and full of energy scene.
Well...it seems not so successful so far... LOL... |
