78 Apr 25 Reply Usually, my black-and-white shots aren't something I decide on afterward-I actually shoot with BW in mind from the start. This one, however, I captured with color in mind, fully aware it wasn't meant to be a black-and-white subject. Apr 25th

78 Apr 25 Reply Stephen, thanks for sharing your views, but I'd like to clarify . This isn't some cheap Chinese knockoff, and the spelling "whisky" is actually correct. Pick up a bottle of Johnnie Walker at any store in the U.S., and you'll see it spelled "whisky."

The spelling varies by region. For example:
• Scotch whisky (from Scotland)
• Irish whiskey (from Ireland)
• Bourbon whiskey (from the U.S.)
• Japanese whisky (from Japan)

So both "whisky" and "whiskey" are correct-it just depends on where it's from.

78 Apr 25 Reply "Whisky" is the spelling typically used in Scotland, Canada, and Japan.
"Whiskey" is used in Ireland and the United States.
About the Photo, I do have BW version but i liked color more. Cropped and changed the saturation.

78 Apr 25 Comment Robert,

Thanks for sharing-this is excellent. I've never tried focus stacking photography before, and it really makes me curious about your workflow from start to finish. Thanks again for sharing such a beautiful photo this month, as you do every month!

78 Apr 25 Comment This is fantastic! You've cropped and composed the shot so well that it turns a regular snapshot into a great sports photo. Really liked it. Apr 17th
78 Apr 25 Comment Kathryn, welcome to the group!
I really enjoyed your first post-especially in black and white. We don't see many B&W photos in our group, so it's refreshing to see yours. The image is well-processed, with beautiful handling of shadows, highlights, and midtones. It all comes together to make a very intreasting photograph.
With a bit of fine-tuning on cropping, this image would look fantastic on a wall-especially if you print your work!
Looking forward to seeing more from you.

78 Apr 25 Comment Beautiful and vibrant image, nicely processed. I liked it - you might want to try converting it to black and white, may look good. Apr 11th
78 Apr 25 Comment "Beautifully captured and processed! try removing the branches in front of the kite-they slightly distract from the graceful subject. I've attached a quick edit. Apr 11th
