78 Oct 22 Reply Yes, the original post is good, there is no need to crop and I am okay with the boat in the dead center, I reposted the panoramic crop just to show if the boat is the focus of the picture then how it should be cropped. Look at the title "Gathering Storm"
This image is not about a boat, its position or size. It's about a coming storm, Boat is just there.

Thanks for trying a different crop and brightened image, looks good.
IMO impact of originally posted image is lost. Some picture looks better when it is center heavy.
In case of this image if boat needs to be off centre then the crop should be more panoramic 16:6 ratio. 		Oct 13th

The impact will be lost if the boat moves from dead center, look at the cropped image suggestion of Jim.
There are seven rules of composition and most of the time we use a rule of third, which works well with most images, but in some situations like this keep it center heavy.		 Oct 13th

Brightening of boat, posted image is slightly dodged, anything more makes it gray.
