Brenda,
Attached cropped image: Main subject of your photo is a Tower and an arch of front structure, larger floor area takes away a straight viewing line to slightly lower angled viewing and to me it is a bit distracting.
Also, regarding removing light, is very easy and just a two or three clicks in Photoshop, what I do is.
Step 1: Using Lasso tool select the required area.
Step 2: in "Edit" command, select "Fill" and use "Content-Aware" and other setting as shown in attached screen shot.

Liked the crop suggested by Tery and liked your views also, the colour looks good too. The whole exercise is to recover and get most out of rejected files and to demonstrate the advantage of shooting in RAW. |

I also thought that it is the moon, good image, post-process is also good, try removing that light and see how that look or replace with the moon (just for fun) or convert in BW. Also, try cropping out the bottom portion, the image will look more balanced. |

Like it, always attracted to old doors, door knockers and locks. I have a collection of images on this subject will post some time in the future. |

An interesting image, challenging for post process. What I would do is remove blown highlight which covers a large part of the sky and convert image in Black & White. Tried working on the screenshot (just a quick edit) but working from an original can give a very good printable print. |

Liked it, good close-up, the focus is where it should be and good post-processing. The only thing disturbing to me is a sharp leaf covering most of the lower right corner. |
