Vertical looks good too, if I have to do that way I would do the same way you have done, thank you.
Also, the Statue in the temple is not Buddha, is of Mahavira, it's a temple of Jain Religion.
Most Jain temples are known for detailed stone carving, beautifully carved columns and ceiling design in marble and red stone.		 Feb 10th

The cloth around the neck is used when temple priest and their assistants do the daily work of temple cleaning etc. but the small cloth covering mouth you mentioned is used by monks and other followers 24 hours, attached two images (Stock Photos, not mine) showing the difference.
The purpose of both is the same.

78 Feb 19 Comment The story of a Horse: I liked the one you have posted, Horse out of focus, to me it works well with the atmosphere, front branch in focus creates depth. If the image is in high resolution, then I would definitely print large and put it on the wall. Feb 1st

Good image, I liked the original (color) more.
BW version looks over processed to me., particularly the cloud reflection, also in BW, I would try adjusting Red Filter values to bring out Kayak and Green and Yellow to bring out fisherman and the surrounding area.

Like it. Very good BW conversion, details in highlight and shadow area are well recovered. It is not required, but if you want to further improve then try working on verticals, it may look better.		 Feb 1st
