Very cool, certainly makes them more interesting. I like the angle you have chosen to photograph the scene and the road is a nice lead in as well. |

You have captured a nice and different look for a fall image. Left to right diagonal might work better. I might be inclined to heal the highlights on the berries, they really get my attention. |

Based on your title, the Cattails are the subject in your photo. Unfortunately they are getting a bit lost with the foreground and bright background. I think your second try (just under Jon's comments) is the best of the bunch. It still retains the fall feel and a pinch more attention on the tails. But the tails still need to be lightened to stand out. |

Very nice scene with the waterway leading your eyes into the image. I think the conversion to B&W worked pretty well but to me it still seems a little flat. You have held the highlights but I think it could use more contrast. |

The composition is very nice and the shutter speed seems ideal, even though a tad quicker would have also worked. I prefer the color of the scene on the main image even though the water is not quite white anymore. |

The composition is very nice and the soft colors are lovely. You could crop off a little off the bottom, but not a big deal. Not quite sure why you would need a faster lens, the sailboat does not look to be moving very quickly. |

Really is a very lovely composition with the river running through the canyon. Looks like you were dealing with some contrasty light. I do agree with Rick, I think the greens are a bit strong in particular the section below the reddish rock. Did you try this with ACR instead of Photomatix, it can be a pretty realistic blend? |

Welcome to the group and great subject! I am in definite agreement with everyone in regards to the sky. HDR software can do some pretty strange stuff to skies and between PS and Luminar, sky replacement is a breeze these days. I like what both Tom and Lisa did to suggest improvements to your image. I like the warming and toning down of the green from Lisa. I do like Tom's version of the backside of the barn, just be sure to watch the underside of the overhang. |

Very interesting change to the barn color, I don't think I would have through to do that, pretty clever. |

As everyone has said, a very nice composition and looks very natural with the white bridge standing out. The trees above the bridge do look a bit odd, sometimes Photomatix struggles with high contrast areas, in particular trees. For whatever reason, the whites become gray when you try to adjust the contrast & brightness. |

I have been there twice and love Bryce, one of my favorite places to visit. Looks like you and I both submitted an image with a retro camera! I like the depth in the photo and the hoodoos look really nice. With these older cameras, for whatever reason which I have experienced as well, the clouds just look strange. I ended doing a sky replacement for a couple of mine (which you might see next round) and it seems to help. |

For whatever reason, I really like the blue cast to the image with the yellow window. The colors really go nicely together even though not entirely realistic. I also like that you didn't crop out that small light area, feeds your eyes out of the scene as it should. I agree with Don, could use a little more texture since it is an old place. |
