Interesting that you applied noise reduction. That particular sensor from the Nikon was pretty noisy even at ISO 400. I guess I didn't mind it because in black & white it adds grain to the photo which I prefer. But I will say, perhaps less grain would hav been better seeing your noise reduction version. Pretty crazy that the sharpening created the color. |

Well this photojournalism shot certainly tells a story. Could have used a little HDR possibly for the blown out area behind your family. Glad everyone is ok. |

I also agree that the image needs cropping. I don't think the outhouse really adds anything so what something like this. Unfortunately the Egret is overexposed and the highlights are unrecoverable. |

Lovely detail in the feather, very sharp. The background works and the angle you have chosen is very nice. |

I also like to use a lens in the 70-200 range for butterflies. That gives me enough distance to not disturb them and the ability to crop in camera a number of different possibilities. I also prefer a little lower angle to see more of the face as opposed to looking down on the butterfly. The colors of the image are nice with the green and purple, but the yellow is very bright. Overall nice and sharp with good detail. The primary image is better because it seems to have a little more detail in the yellow flower. |

I did, but the concern was the tire stack, the wall to the left and all the dirt still needs to stay in tact. I could try selecting everything starting with the dark wall to the left and up including the cars and stands. |

The lighting and colors on the mountains are really nice. You could probably crop off a pinch off the top to remove some of the bright area. Even though this is a compressed JPEG, it looks a little over sharpened. |

Your processing has helped this image in multiple areas, the bridge, background and most certainly the foreground. The overall detail is very nice along with the added warmth is a great addition. |

The woman adds a lot to this photo, this is her place and proud of it. The processing is very nice with lots of detail and spot on exposure. Very interesting you used 9 exposures, were they at 1/3 increment as Rick surmised? |

A definite improvement on the barn and mountains with the overall sharpness, contrast and clarity. The original is a bit flat but I do prefer the green grass and perhaps the trees a little darker. It has definitely been interesting to visit old photos and try new editing software and technigues. I certainly was not using luminosity masks 10 years ago. |

This is a very cool retro image! Really like the curvature of the image between the bar top and around the base. Interesting, the red is a bit strong but it really doesn't bother me. Would have been interesting to see what it looks like with the yellow toned down a little or maybe cool it off a pinch. |
