27 Jan 22 Reply Can't say I like one better than the other, like them both. Jan 18th
27 Jan 22 Comment I love Zion and the view of the Watchman!
Very nice composition as everyone has pointed out, well done.
Have you tried Dehaze on the distant mountains?
Jan 18th
27 Jan 22 Comment The image has a very nice feel to it and the conversion to B&W works nicely with the brown tone. I am not a big border fan but yours really works, nice job! Jan 18th
27 Jan 22 Comment I think adding color to the sky really helps to balance the photo. This has come a long way since I saw your first version, well done! You might to try dodging the man to see it helps for him to stand out a little bit more. Jan's suggestion will create a different version all together without the person. Jan 18th
27 Jan 22 Comment Interesting conversion to B&W and it worked out good.
I do agree with Ian that the image needed more contrast. The tree in the reflection stands out a bit more. I am with Jan, I didn't notice the dog until I read your description. One possible edit would be to tone the image a very light blue to enhance the feeling of cold that the original has.

27 Jan 22 Comment Very cool image and well done on your technique.
If it ever snows in FL I will have to try it.. LOL

27 Jan 22 Comment I like Becca's comment in that it looks like a Monet painting. Perhaps take a bit further an accentuate that with a digital art conversion from a plugin. I think it could use a little more saturation and contrast. Jan 18th
27 Jan 22 Reply Yes, that tree! It could easily be removed.
The focus stacking was done at f11 and I focussed near, middle and far. I might have been able to get away with 2 since the foreground wasn't crazy close.
I used 0.8 secs for the exposure time for some smoothing of the water.
Did that answer your questions?
Jan 13th
27 Jan 22 Reply I do as well.. wasn't sure which rock you referring to when you said crop in your original comments. Jan 10th
27 Jan 22 Reply Or I could just remove the bright area.. Jan 8th
27 Jan 22 Reply Was not sure which rock you meant. Jan 8th
27 Jan 22 Reply Did I remove the tree trunk that bothered you? Jan 8th

44 Jan 22 Reply Curious, did you warp the image after cropping to retain a more rectangular ratio? Jan 19th
44 Jan 22 Reply When I tried straightening for those trees, the cropping became quite intense and cut off way too much. I tried to keep it natural and not get crazy with the shadows. Jan 18th
44 Jan 22 Comment I think Rick said it exactly, interesting and the power of Mother Nature, always growth through the cracks. The processing looks great, very realistic. I do agree with Tom, the upper area could be cloned out or something. Jan 18th
44 Jan 22 Comment A very nice image with the sky, pretty tree and reflection, they all work together nicely. 2 things, good catch by Tom on the small sign and this image is VERY sharp and clear. To the point it doesn't look real, more like a very detailed drawing. Jan 18th
44 Jan 22 Comment I think the model and the original photo do go well together and your overall execution is pretty good. With the tough lighting of the scene, it does come across a little dark and lacking contrast even with the bright green. Interesting the model does look a bit cartoonish, not quite sure why. Perhaps make the whole scene a bit cartoonish. Jan 18th
44 Jan 22 Comment Beautiful image! Also from Florida and a visitor to CO once, I have seen a splattering but not that much yellow! Good catch by Lisa, from other photos I have seen, those trees are normally pretty white. Jan 18th
44 Jan 22 Comment Very cool image with a nice feel to it, old but not real old. I agree with Rick, the name on the board really compliments the scene. The processing is excellent overall and perhaps a little bit more texture. I think doing something with the bright white trailers outside would definitely help. Other than that, great image! Jan 18th
44 Jan 22 Reply Bullets flying.. I would be running out of there!
I agree with the trees to the right. I tried to correct the convergence with a couple methods but unfortunately a lot got cropped off.

44 Jan 22 Reply The shadow area of the pine trees? Jan 5th
