I'm inclined to agree with the other comments about the focus, as I'm having trouble focusing on any particular part of the image. I like the abstractness of it and the color changes. I would have guessed it to be some sort of squash "noodles"! |

I really like the depth on the keys and am glad to learn that we can leave stuff 'unfocused' as I'll be trying that on my next attempt. The white background really works; I'm not sure a colored background would have given it the same effect, even without the edge issues. Really nice! |

Charles - this is a very interesting shot of something so "normal". I like the depth of focus, but would have preferred for just a bit more of the back of the screw to be in focus - maybe just to the rim edge. On initial viewing, I found the light grey bit in the front drags my focus from the screw - maybe if that had been out of focus? Thanks! |

Janos -- I like this image! I do agree the rust is a bit distracting, but I don't find the blue dots in the upper right to be so, maybe because of the color? Not noticing any "noise" from the ISO (on my monitor), so that's good.

This is a really great image. I love the symmetry of the butter with the reflection and the curves. It keeps drawing my eye into different parts but always back to the center. |

Thanks! I learned that I need to take "bigger" frames than I would with a single shot as the edges didn't stack well at all. And I agree, this is busy, but for a first try, not too bad! I'll have a better one for April ready to go soon. |
