Thanks for the comment. No, I did not have to stoop down. The cottage is on a hill, and I was at the bottom of the steep driveway. Side note: The owner came out to mow the grass with a "hover" lawn mower. It was an unknown machine to me. |

Thank you, Keith. Any story image is about the vision and the personal brain behind the instrument, regardless of the megapixels. |

I love images that reflect the green of the water at the curving of a wave. You are a brave woman to be out in the 5-degree weather with a camera. I would not change a thing. |

Nice DOF to focus on the eye and scales. It's too cold in Maryland for them to live and survive, I think. |

Nicely seen and captured. Maybe "steam" and not a toxic cloud of smoke? I live South of, about an hour from the famous "3-Mile Island Accident." "The reactor accident began at 4:00 a.m. on March 28, 1979, and released radioactive gases and radioactive iodine into the environment." |

Very nice image and story. I just finished reading "Killing the Witches," which included stories of the American Revolution and cited free black men and their part in the battle against Great Britain.
Frederick is about an hour from me. |

Some of my favorite and award-winning images were taken with Nikon, Olympus, or Canon point-and-shoot cameras. I remember an article by a famous photographer who was told, "Anyone can take award-winning images with expensive cameras." The photographer then bought the cheapest point-and-shoot camera he could find and continued to take award-winning photographs.
Prasad, thank you for the comment. |
