Don you would only be reclaiming what is yours to begin with. It is a beautiful image. |

Jen this is a wonderful and very sharp image. I like your original composition and lighting best as the vehicle now seems too dark and centered to me. I do agree that the background items mentioned are a distraction. It would be a great image to play around with the magic of photoshop or another similar software to remove the distractions. Thank's for sharing your travels. |

Don, A very lovely image of the swans. The texture of the snow seems to mimic the swans breast feathers. I see what could be an interesting abstract crop to me. I am drawn to the textures of this...
A beautiful shot as is so don't mind my playing around with it. Thank you and "what the others expressed already". |

Ed this is a nice image and I have to wonder if there is any place in the world that the USA has not made an impact on? When visiting Iceland and Costa Rica this year I enjoyed the familiarity I found but was also a little disturbed by it. I love the choice of processing for this as well. Nice work and no real thought to improve but may be worth trying to add a bit of grain and see what that does for the scene. |

Hi John I appreciate the effort of the experiment you presented here and the sense of fog you were able to introduce. I agree that compositionally it is too busy for my eye to target a true subject here. It does remind me of a former instructors set of photos though. He was from an area where trees were scarce and he was almost obsessed with taking photos of the woods in Minnesota. To me it was too ordinary a story as I had seen it many times. To him it was a magical place. It gave me a greater appreciation of the abundance we have in Minnesota. Take pleasure in the ordinary around you. |

Jack I do like the composition of this image with the leading lines drawing you inward. If there were a lone camel would it be better? I am not sure...I like the unanswered question of "What is over that ridge?" Is it the end of the earth?
I do have to ask if the clouds were there or are they an add in? Thank's for sharing. |

Thank you Jen...when I chose this from Iceland I thought perhaps it was an odd choice since this particular scene could be at any waterfront. But yes I do have a few from Iceland I could post in the future. |

Thank you Ed for your time and insight on the image. I will have to experiment a bit more on the vignette it seems. You are right maybe the starlings are shunning the big misfit here. If we only knew for sure. |
