15 Jan 19 Comment Lovely colour hues Joan. You managed to capture a section of the forrest that has dark green, blood orange and soft golds - a myriad of colours that help strengthen the visual appeal of the image. I like how the soft greys of the trees which have lost their leaves are interspersed throughout the image - strengthening the beauty of the tress which still have their leaves. I wonder if you would consider using a very slight vignette - just to see if it helps draw out eyes to those central dominate areas of colour. Jan 5th
15 Jan 19 Comment Rick this is superb! Swirls of movement which are interesting and create for a wonderful strong composition. Great colour choices, Yellow and Red, against a Blue background - all primary colours which strengthens the visual appeal. I like the frames and did not realise that Topaz had an App for this - will look into this as I have not had much luck creating edges/frames as yet. Jan 5th

60 Jan 19 Comment I like how all the lines created by the bowl's pattern are taking my eyes to that centre water drop making for a very strong composition. These dominate complimentary background colours, purple and yellow, are very striking and for me enhance the visual appeal of the image. I like that the water drop is a natural colour, delicate and soft, against that bold background. Lovely image. Jan 5th
60 Jan 19 Comment Lovely image Bill. I like how the orange colour of the flower petals along with the green in some areas provides a lovely background for the Skipper. You captured wonderful detail, especially the soft fur on his body so the F stop you used worked well. I would suggest you consider providing a little more room at the base of the image near the Skipper's feet - you may find by having room around the feet it could strengthen the overall composition. 60 Jan 19 Comment Hi Will, I like how you captured the soft light on the spider web - it highlights how delicate and fragile it is. The web is right across the image and I like looking at the different textures and shapes of it. The cactus colour and its sharp edges, I think, provide an interesting contrast for the web. My favourite part are the two dead thin storks that come across both sides of the image, for me, it sort of frames the spider web. There is a small section of the Cactus sharp edging on the top left that I feel are blown out and I would suggest you consider toning this area down - you may find by toning them down you bring the focus back on the lovely web and the other lower sharp well defined cactus points. 60 Jan 19 Comment Wonderful image Bill. You have captured the delicate petals well and I like how you have presented the Amaryllis on a black background providing a bold eye catching contrast. I like that you took the image from above the flower and as a result was able to give the viewer the true overall shape of the flower. I find this angle, along with the light has added a sense of depth and structure to the image. The soft light also brings out the lovely textures on the petals. I find that the centre groove of the petals form strong leading lines to the centre of the flower which strengthens the composition. Lovely Image. Jan 5th
60 Jan 19 Comment Bob this is wonderful! The back light makes the buttons look like they are floating. The detail is mesmerising and I love that some of the buttons are translucent - very eye catching. My favourite part is that yellow thread left in that little red button. Great Image. cheers Nadia Jan 5th
