Wow Linda - what a wonderful myriad of colours you have captured in the background. You have the Primary colours of the red, blue and even touches of yellow - all adding to the boldness of the image. I love how your subject becomes part of the backdrop - she sort of glides right in there. I like the way the lady's face is surrounded by the soft blue colour and this makes her face stand out. My favourite part of the image is how there are eyes on the wall - one set of eyes looking left the other single eye looking right - it makes for a very dramatic effect. Great Capture. cheers Nadia |

Hi Rick - very creative! I like how you have de colourised the background keeping the main focus on that wonderful flower. The strong colours of red and yellow really help strengthen the image. I love the texture you managed to create -a very whimsical airy feel. I do love the bee in the second image you posted - the bee is much more dominate in this second image whereas in the first it does tend to blend in a little with the centre of the flower. I just love the borders you have created on the image - beautiful effect and it really suits the image. |

Hi Charles, Welcome to our group. What a beautiful image. I like everything about it. The colours, the composition, the detail and the story of abandonment. I could look at this image for ages. I do agree with Jeri about the two branches on the left - but my eye does mainly focus on that wonderful home. cheers Nadia |

Hi Jeri, Welcome to our group. Judges always say that the eye of the animal has to be sharp and the eyes of these Egrets are pin tack sharp. I like the plain background that has no distractions which keeps my eye on the birds. The light coming from the right falls on the birds beautifully and it really emphasises their eyes. There are shadows on the birds but you still have got good detail there. You have room in the front of the Egrets which, for me, strengthens the composition. You also have good detail in the feathers of the birds. I would suggest a very slight vignette. cheers Nadia |

Hi Joan, I like the soft tinge of red on the flower and how this is a complimentary colour to the soft green on the stem. My favourite part of the image is how the flower curves across the frame on a diagonal , for me this strengthens the composition. I like how you have given room all around the flower. The light you captured on the flower is lovely - it appears to me to make the flower glow somewhat. My suggestion is for you to consider blurring out the background a bit further and to apply a soft vignette to the image - I think this could strengthen the visual appeal of the subject. |

Hi Jeri - yes I agree. I thought of cloning out the background points out but kept thinking they added to the story. They do distract and take away from the main subject. thanks. Nadia |

Denise this is just magical - I like how all the soft delicate petals are sweeping downward. The fine yet distinct detail on the back of the petals contribute to my looking at the overall perfect downward flow. I like that the back petals are blurred, it keeps my eye on those wonderful white front petals. I think what I like best about the image is that the rose takes up the whole frame - its bold and I love this composition. Nice blurred background. Great Shot Denise. |

Hi Will, I just love the tones - deep yellow blending into red - such striking primary colour tones. The trails are just beautiful - soft, floating delicate lines. You have used the available light to perfection - it helps creates such wonderful texture. Great Image - well done. |

Hi Bill, great use of the available light. Nice blurred background. You captured the texture on the wings beautifully. I would have liked to have seen a bit more room around the Antenna. I agree with Bill about perhaps considering cropping out a bit of the flowers on the right to keep our eyes on the subject. Very accommodating that the butterfly sat on such vibrant primary colours for you. cheers Nadia |

Carol what a wonderful scene - you have inspired me to start doing some composite shots. I love how the Christmas balls float across the scene. I like how the colour tones are all blue cold tones and I love how you highlighted the bear with a scarf of yellow flowers to make him the main point of focus. Beautiful work. Will this be your Christmas card this year? cheers Nadia |
