This image has lovely subtle lighting and good story telling composition. It is sharp and I like the angle taken as well - it fills the frame. |

The colours are great in this image and agree with the deleting the distraction at his feet. An interesting story telling scene but perhaps taken in landscape format may have included something that had caught his eye. |

The blackening of the background works really well I think -it adds impact to the image. The initial cropping is great and makes for a perfect composition for 'minimalist' subject. The other comments were really helpful for me as well. |

I totally agree with all of the above but also like the vertical format - it adds impact. The colours are so vibrant and overall simplicity is great. |
