I think that you have created an interesting image and agree with most of Angela's and Fran's comments. I find that since the rhino is OOF how the image would look if it was placed with just it's head showing. You would then have an implied tonal repitition: White, bright shadow, dark, white. Consider placing a very thin white stroke around the image so the viewer can easily separate the black in the image from a dark background. |

Very interesting and creative image. Your choice of using high key is very effective. However, I cannot decide whether the frame is distracting. |

Fran, Sorry I didn't comment sooner. The image and your description are enjoyable. I think that you did a clever and skillful job in creating the final image. By slightly changing the duplicated owl, you have created doubt about whether the image is an original and created something out of nothing. Well done. |

Just saw in the second ring from the top of the largest ghost: Ducklings swimming in a pond.

I share inyour comment. It's a shame that many judges are either unwilling, or unable to appreciate creativity. To paraphrase the judge at my CC's last meeting. I personally think this is an amazing image, but it wont do well in another competition and most judges wont like it. So I am downgrading the image.
Whaat an A-hole. BTW: He was not judging my image. |

Neat image. The "birds" are placed just right in that they form a diagonal line that gives the image a feeling of motion. To my eye they ate the main point of interest, and the interesting foliage competes with them. As a suggestion, I cropped the foliage, a portion of the left side, and slightly played with the shadows. |
