Karl,
About a year ago I was considering learning water drop photography. As I looked into it, I concluded that WD was so much more a craft than an art, that I wasn't really interested. Your image, that you were kind to share proves I was wrong. To me your image has a gentle flow, (no pun intended,) that causes me to see it differently every time I look. I have only on little nit. The dancer on the right seems almost blown out. Outside of my nit, I cannot think of any suggestion that could improve your image. It's an amazing image. |

Thank you for your kind words and observation. I completely agree with you that I oversaturated the flower. While I wanted to make the flower and its reflection brighter, after further thought I went too far. I often wrestle with the question of whether an image should face left or right. As you know those of us who live in the Western countries are accustomed to reading from left to right, while those who live in the East are more comfortable looking at images going from right to left. |

Judith-I like the simplicity of your image, with Karl's cleanup. I am ambiguous about keeping the sky in, and like both versions, each of which tells a different story. The tie breaker is whichever version you, as the artist prefers. |
