Thank you for your suggestions. They have accomplished what I thought to be impossible. (Got me thinking.) The result will be submitted for September. |

Mike Interesting and very different. Fun image to work on. Nicely done. I wonder How it would look if the back of the ocean matched glass reflection. Just a crazy thought. I see a lot of flexibility in presentation of this image. |

I wanted to keep this image close to IC. However just for kicks I flipped it vertically. New Title: Red Shrooms: What do you think? |

Steve, to my old eyes, the leaves are properly randomized, some red and the majority dark green. I would think that the leaves would disappear as the dark ones fall into the poppy field. |

Joan, You have been kind to share a lot of clever and fun images. This is certainly one of them. I wish you had included small motion tails in the falling leaf brushes. Otherwise, very well done. |

Katherine: Thank you for taking the to review my image. I like how you worked on the added petal. When it comes to the changes in hue and saturation, unless you are making a catalogue image, the extent is purely a matter of taste. IOW there is no right or wrong. Simply a matter of personal preference. |

Katherine, I like the way you showed the grouping of flowers. As a suggestion, if you lower the contrast, and make slight adjustments to blending, You can get more natural tonal variations. |

Doug, I cannot think of anything I would do to improve your image. To me your original reminds me of a metalic sculpture. You have inspired me to collect some Hosta leaves and try my luck. Thank you for sharing. |

Nadia, As with Bob I have never seen a Picasso flower before. Your treatment and presentation nicely compliments the flower. I wonder if the stem really has a bluish cast. |

Jacob, You have a nice image of a sunflower. I agree with the other comments, but would like to show some context. In my VF I cropped to a vertical, using context aware cropping; lengthened the stem, and made some small adjustments to color and shadow. |

Bob, Your image hit on of my weak spots, impressionism. You started with a high class good image, and I interpret your final image as telling your feelings about the image. I see a struggle to rise from the ordinary, as represented by the darkish blend of red and green, to the gradually increasing luminescence, where it will show allitts beauty. I can also see it a a representation of man's continuing Faustian struggle. Very well done. |

Bob, Thank you for your comment. To amplify my comment to Nadia, I am one of those individuals who creates images for my own pleasure. Like most of us I like my images to be appreciated for what they are, not necessarily for a picayune CC judge. Some of the images I submit to DDG contain items that I am not certain about, but placed for a reason. The orange blob is one of them. I'm not sure that it works, and would be interested in hearing other solutions to my flatness issue. I have a very thick skin when it comes to art.
BTW LR & ACR have the same engine, and in many cases there are far more than 6 ways of treating an image. |

Nadia, Thank you for your comments. The small floating petal was not in the original. I thought the image needed more of a feeling of depth, and using the foliage felt intrusive. For that reason I also left a slight blur on the top petals.
