Joey--I did a fair bit of cropping to get to the image I posted, so I might have enough pixels to make it a vertical shot as you suggest. Let me try! |

The conversion to B&W works for me! I like the leading line of the curving stream. Is that the subject? If not, I can't be sure what the subject is. The clouds are dramatic but if they are the subject, they should occupy a larger percentage of the frame. Maybe you need to give a bit more help to the observer? |

I am impressed by the fact that the focus is sharp throughout. The silhouettes of the trees go well with the colors in the sky and the water. I'm a bit bothered, however, with the symmetry. Would this be more powerful with only half of the image, ie, just one tree? |

I also thought this was an underwater shot. I like the contrast of the pink and the bluish tones. This image is worth some attention!
