There doesn't appear to haven been much (if any?) substantive change from the original image, which is well exposed. Based on the large log and height of the flame, I surmised that it is not a small fire, but I agree, without something else to give the viewer reference, it is hard to discern the size and story. |

It is a very good starting point. I'd perhaps change out the sky background, to add an image with more clouds. Perhaps crop the image a bit on both sides where it is tilting off. Definitely bump the colors a bit with vibrance. |

I really like how you have brought out more light and the reflections from the original. I agree with Trey that having the flag pole centered and top/bottom weight is not optimal. If you try to crop this using the rule of thirds, it could be more impactful. |

I like how the plane itself turned out using your grunge technique. However, personally I think the clouds and sky would have appeared better if you masked out the grunge, and I believe it might have contributed to the banding. |
