I agree about the color version, sometimes color is better. However, I felt it was worth the effort to convert to create a different mood with the image. I plan to go back and play with this one and incorporate some of the comments above. Thanks to all. |

I hadn't paid attention to the foreground to note what you are talking about, but I agree, it could be toned down. |

So many lucky breaks coming together to create this image. I like the textured effect and I'll have to look into the Paper Toner. |

WOW! Big difference in B&W, it really make the bubbles pop, (no pun intended). Excellent choice with the cropping. I agree that the hand and machine are a bit distracting. |

Love the image although the halo is kind of odd. If I had time, I would take the image into Photoshop and play with a mask to see if I could dampen the halo. I like the sky in Oliver's treatment, it becomes more dramatic. |

I think you made the right choice in converting to B&W. The drake background make the flower pop out and the vine is more noticeable compared to the color copy. The only tweak I might consider is to highlight the blossoms a bit more. |
