I think this is a good technique to try on various scenes and see what comes up. Usually I want my image to tell a story of some kind. I'm going to try it and see if distortions can have a narrative. |

My first reaction was I JUT LOVE THAT TRUCK. My second was the background was too strong to show off the Truck. Here is just one idea about changing out that background. I selected the truck and then did a select inverse to get the background. Then I went to Photoshop Image/Adjustments/Black and White and chose a green tint for the background. Interesting picture John!! |

I like your descriptions of your steps. I especially think using the underside of a daisy was inspired. Also using the texture to weave through the petals is really effective. I am not sure what is at the top of the image in the center. I know its part of the daisy. But it seems not to blend with the rest of the image. It looks like a hand. Maybe it is the hand that dropped the pearl into the flower!! |

I need to track my steps better. I think there is a Photoshop history function for that. I will look into it. But I did go back and look at this lamp again, and I figured out that I used the Photoshop Filter/Distort/Polar Coordinates/Polar to Rectangular setting. I tried it again with the original and got this shape below. So creepy. I love creepy at the right time. LIke Halloween. :-)) |

Thats a fascinating observation Steve. Its more creepy upside down. But this way reminds me of abstract castles. Thank you for sharing that idea. |

I have had a lot of fun with this image. And have created several different versions. Here is one that I just entered in a Creative Contest. I call it Iceberg Nightmare. |
