The coke bottles are so iconic, even though they are not the typical bottle images. I think another filter would give some choices that might have more resonance. I find the mosaic too abstract, and miss the color. |

Thank you Joan! I will have to find another picture for my bug! One of the fascinating things about photography for me is knowing when my picture is done. |

I like these suggestions, and I see the value in flipping the image. The flow is improved. I love bugs, and always try to find a place for them. In this case I agree that the mood of the photo is interrupted by the bug, and not enhanced. Thank you for your valuable feedback!! |

This image is enchanting in a number of ways, and has a lot of areas for the eye to examine. Gorgeous colors Nancy. I'm fascinated by the use of the rainbow gradient which is what I assume you used. Excellent execution! |

Nice composite of the trails against the trees with the blue suggesting the coldness of the snow. There is a timelessness about the image. If it were mine, I would add one more item to the image, perhaps an elk in silhouette, or other animal, or even a person. I think that would give it three foci, which is what our club keeps hammering to us. |

Very topical image Joan. An interesting take on the 4th of July. The contrast between the smooth balloons and the detail of the statue make for a great dynamic. I find my eyes drawn more to the balloons. And I wonder if the statue might carry more weight if it is backlit. So I tried it. See what you think. |

How Inventive!! Loved what you did with the 'forest'. To me this is the difference between trees and a "forest". And the figures made from waterfalls are very clever. I think the second figure, the one in the middle, seems to be in front of the limb (?). That made me pause. For interest sake it might be more effective if that figure was behind the big limb. Not sure. I think you must have had fun doing this photo. |
