29 Mar 21 Reply I follow many underwater photographers. I love the water and always enjoy these sessions, while we have been photographing couples with the wild life for many years here - We are today focusing on the fashion aspect of being in the water. It is very hard for the models and may be 1 in 10 photo is acceptable. We should be doing a session in Connecticut early May if travel permit:-( Mar 19th
29 Mar 21 Comment It might be a good candidate for B&W or some vintage look, have you tried? Mar 17th
29 Mar 21 Reply Hi Bob, a gallery picked up a few of our pics and they are looking for women in the water so we have been practicing.

Anything above the top of her head is real, it is the sub-surface reflection - no tricks there:-). This shot is bit from a distance, may be a bit too far but I have room to play with.

I follow that IG account, I don't know if I fully agree with "sharks are not dangerous to human". Here in Bora, we mostly have Black Tips (I shoot within touching distance and they bump my housing sometime) they are curious, we had a few tourists who got bit but not bad. We have Lemon sharks, bigger but also inoffensive, White Tips rare to see them they usually nap in deeper water and some grey and those can be a bit more agressive.

Some Tiggers in Tahiti (never seen one), and occasionally White Tip Oceanic sharks, these are not to be played with and you better get back on a boat quickly - One woman was attacked last year during a whale watching outing, she did nothing wrong but being in the water at the wrong time - She lost her two hands and a breast.

I am hoping to go diving this year in the Tuamotus, Fakarava has 100s of sharks including hammer heads.

29 Mar 21 Comment Sad reality in so many places! Like Bob, I would have loved to see a forward shot, I think there are certain rules to respect for street photography. Removing the motorcycles also would improve the shot IMO. Mar 16th
29 Mar 21 Comment I think I agree with Bob, the lower column does not seem to "fit" in the image - I might be wrong but perhaps the left portion / left post seem to bow a little - Distortion issue, perhaps use lens correction and see if there is a difference? Looks like a cool building to visit! Mar 12th
29 Mar 21 Reply I am thinking if you took a shot a slower speed with the lantern on, we should see the flakes with a darker background? Worth a try since it is at your house:-)? Mar 12th
29 Mar 21 Comment Hi Karen, I really like the idea and composition - I think the image would have told a much better story while shot in the dark while the lantern was glowing. Mar 10th
29 Mar 21 Reply Thank you Bob! It was a pleasure shooting with Pauline, while her first time shooting in the water she did very well! There is always a bit of apprehension getting in the Lagoon at night but she was so focused on her poses below the surface. Mar 7th
29 Mar 21 Comment Lovely shot, love the colors & roof tops. very nice details in the capture and not sure I would change anything. Mar 6th
29 Mar 21 Comment Gorgeous capture! Would love to ride one of these! Love the reflection, looks like around sunset for the colors? I would not change anything, love the composition and the scene - I perhaps would just remove the small boat? Mar 6th
